The Details

These are the 4 seperate projects that will harm Little Bromley, Tendring, and the surrounding areas.

We have already seen consultations from NG, FE and NF which are now with the Planning Inspectorate forconsideration but, it isn’t a done deal, there are still opportunities to voice our concerns. You may now have heard from Tarchon Interconnector (TI) with details of their proposals. We understand they are looking for a 25 acre local site to build their interconnector using a separate cabling corridor to FE and NF…with land on Chequers Road, Little Bromley under consideration. They will be holding consultations in March. See below.

  • 180Km of 50m tall pylons

  • 18 Hectare (33 football piches) substation in Little Bromley

  • Alternatively, an integrated offshore grid in the North Sea has been shown by National Grid to save £2bn and to reduce overall infrastructure by 50%
